The Gift Card System enables you to print out high quality Gift Cards using your existing DataCard printer. These Gift Cards may be used in the Point-of-Sale System as a form of payment. The Gift Cards are printed as often as needed in any quantity needed. They are activated through Point-of-Sale for a specific dollar amount as they are purchased.
This system allows a customer to buy a Gift Card at any cash value. The transaction is rung through the AEK Point-of-Sale System. The operator is prompted to enter in the amount of the Gift Card, prompted again to scan the Gift Card and the sale is recorded. The value is stored in the AEK Gift Card and the card is printed with a bar code and given to the customer.
The customer takes the Gift Card and uses it for payment by swiping the Gift Card through a bar code reader. The screen will display the Gift Card number and current balance. The operator may pay the entire transaction with this form of payment, providing there is sufficient balance. The receipt will indicate that the payment type was a Gift Card and print the remaining balance on the receipt.
You may add a line item that will allow you to print a status of a Gift Card at any time. The receipt will include the Gift Card number, date issued, expiration date, original amount, redeemed amount and balance remaining, as well as, time and date printed.
Display Gift Card Usage allows you to display and/or print the usage of any Gift Card. The display will also show the dates and amounts used.
Gift Card Reports are available to print a list of either all outstanding Gift Cards or all expired Gift Cards. It may be printed at any time. The All Outstanding Report will list the Gift Card number, sold date, expiration date, sold amount, redeemed amount and remaining balancing. Additionally, all Gift Cards that have not been sold but printed will be listed on the report. This report allows you to check your liability account with the remaining balances and check the existing stock of the unsold Gift Cards.
